TRADED 02/2023! This is the original model which is the one to have, IMHO. This bass was revolutionary when it was introduced in 1994 and it has certainly withstood the test of time. Try one of the new NE basses and then pick this one up and you'll see, there simply is no comparison. It's certainly a beautiful bass with a AAAA quilt maple top that's 1/2" thick and an alder body finished in trans amber. Bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fretboard & 24 frets along with custom block inlays. Two custom soapbar pickups are specially positioned and matched to the famous Nathan East 9-volt preamp with volume, pan and BMT tone controls. The NE preamp has gained quite a following and just like a Sadowsky or pre-Ernie preamp, it has earned that reputation. All the hardware is gold-plated and perhaps the best feature is the weight of this bass; at only 9 lbs it is much lighter than typical NE basses! Includes a formfit SKB hard case.
