This has to be one if the absolute last basses off the USA production line. It's the Real Deal and you can feel the quality as soon as you pick it up. It's got a gorgeous trans red finish over an alder body. The maple bolt-on neck also has a maple fretboard with no face dots so it is visually striking. I really like the dual truss rods which are easily accessed at the bottom of the neck. I prefer these over the Growler models simply because of the two-pickup design; a Bartolini MM in the bridge position and a J pickup near the neck. The 9-volt preamp has a straightforward control layout of volume, pan and active master tone with a single mini coil tap switch. Black hardware rounds out the package. Besides fine tone and feel the bass weighs a mere 7 1/2 lbs, which is also a thing of beauty. Comes in a nice gig bag.
