These 2nd Gen Status basses are much more refined than the original ones. This is truly the BEST playing 5 I have in the store right now and also one of the nicest looking. It has a rich walnut top over an alder body with a set graphite neck and phenolic fretboard. The graphite is finely woven for superior strength & sustain but also has a very distinct look. Proprietary Status pickups and 18-volt preamp provide 3-D tone to go with the endless sustain & focus of the graphite neck. The controls are pan, volume, treble, mid, bass and a 3-way tone shaping switch. Weight is kept under 10 lbs and the bass feels light and well-balanced when strapped on. Includes a molded SKB hard case.
