SOLD 08/21! You can say that by 1984 that Ibanez had eliminated all the cool bells & whistles of the original Musician basses. Or you can say they made the bass more player-friendly. Either way you would be correct but this later version of this iconic bass stands on its own merits. It still has the solid mahogany body and neck-thru design along with active electronics. But this one has twin Super-J pickups which I feel are one of Ibanez' best designs. Hands-down winners in a tone comparison with 'older' Musician basses! The controls are simpler as well with two volumes and separate bass & treble controls. It still has the same high-quality hardware and tuners and of course, the ebony fretboard that give these basses a great overall presence.
