And to think they were taken for granted for decades and you couldn't give them away for $500 at one time (not too long ago). It's no ugly duckling but looks certainly aren't the attraction here. The key is the wide, flat semi-hollow body coupled with that DeArmond pickup that is the real money maker. Plus, that silly 2-position toggle switch really provides two distinct and useable tones. This one is solid with plenty of player wear but the neck angle is perfect, the frets are clean and everything works as it should.
