SOLD 02/2023! Somehow Gibson has pulled this off! The may be the most un-Gibson looking basses ever designed but is that really a bad thing? It's got a beautiful swamp ash body that keeps the weight at just 8 1/4 lbs, a remarkable feat given the size of the body and the substantial maple neck. Speaking of the neck, it's also got a rosewood fretboard  with a special 120th inlay at the 12th fret. It's wide & comfy with 23/32" spacing at the bridge and a 2 1/8" nut width plus a killer volute reminiscent of the 1972 EB-3 basses. The chrome hardware includes a Babicz bridge and Gotoh tuners. Pickups are special-design with large pole pieces ala Music Man and there are two volumes and a single tone control. It's a passive setup but there is a push/pull on the volume controls for coil tapping of each pickup. It's a strange brew but it sounds good, plays great and balances well. It's also in mint condition and includes a super-deluxe Gibson logo hard case.
