SOLD 01/2024! Now you all know I am pretty much a G&L 'purist' with a preference for the earlier and/or scarcer models. But this bass clearly fits right in as far as vibe and total playability are concerned. Its sub-9 lb weight opened my eyes right away but it takes a lot more than light weight to make a fine bass. Throw in a beautiful sunburst finish on a 2-piece ash body and a maple neck with clean frets and fast action. There are some scuffs & scratches confined to the lower edge but the bass is remarkable clean overall. Of course all the electronics work great and this one is particularly responsive to small changes of the control settings. It's always had flatwound strings on it and I'm keeping them on because of the bluesy/funky attack they give you. This one includes the owner's manual, warranty sheet, detached warranty card, control features and pickup info sheet. But the coup de grace is the original COA signed by Mrs Leo Fender herself! In all the years I have owned & handled G&L basses (approaching 500 total instruments) I have never seen a COA signed by Mrs Fender! This is a piece of history in its own right and the bass is truly worthy of it. Included original molded logo hard case.
