SOLD 06/2020! Most of the 1982-3 Fender P Basses seem to be the Elite I or I varieties and it's pretty hard to find a 'Standard' version. This Made-in-USA model is exponentially rare as a lefty and it's in great condition on top of that. This one features an alder body with black finish and a wide, flat maple neck kind of like an early 60's P only with mare taper along the fretboard edges. That means it's extremely comfy to play! The tone is also reminiscent of the early 60's with lots of oomph with a slightly more pronounced midrange growl. The bass also features Deluxe enclosed tuners and a heavier bridge for added sustain. There was a lot of good things going on here and these basses were rpoduced for less than two years. Reasonably light at 9 1/4 lbs and includes what is perhaps the heaviest non-Anvil style bass case ever made!
