SOLD 5/5! Yes, that really is a factory Custom Color! I call it 'Salt & Pepper" and it really has a texture just like the old Hammertone finish used on 50's amplifiers and audio gear. I've never seen a color like it before and all the body markings are correct so I guarantee it to be original. It might be the only one ever made! It's also a great sounding & playing bass and not just a relic from the past with a pointy headstock. Made in Japan, right after Jackson moved production overseas.

     The finish is in very good condition with no dings or buckle wear, just a few small holes from where someone was messing around with a thumbrest at one point. The custom passive P/J pickups and volume/volume/tone controls are all you need to get many great tones out of this bass. The bolt-on maple neck has a rosewood fretboard and dot inlays and features 22 medium-jumbo frets that are in great shape. Hardware is all-black and made by Gotoh with the Jackson logo. It weighs only 8 1/2 lbs. The bass comes in a nice formfit rectangular Jackson hard case, not the flimsy one shown in the picture.
