SOLD 04/19! No, it's not the same as my other 78 Jazz Bass! This one was refinished natural with a maple neck and pearl block inlays. The refin is decent and the body has a nice ash grain to it. It also has newer Fender Noiseless pickups and a Badass II bridge. The electronics have been changed and are a bit different than any J setup I have ever encountered. The first control is a 5-position rotary control that switches between different pickup combinations AND has tone circuitry built in. Kind of like a Gibson EB-3 only this thing actually sounds good in ALL positions. The middle knob is volume and the last one is a typical passive tone control (with original pot). This is a great player with a nice. dtraight neck that won't bust your budget and comes with a hardshell case, to boot.
