SOLD 06/08/2018! These great basses were only made for 2 years but in retrospect they were a really great design. It was at this time that the slightly smaller body shape was introduced with a slightly longer upper horn and downsized headstock. These changes came along with the advent of the Lace Sensor pickups. This opened up a lot of new tones that old-school Fender users weren't familiar with and the basses ended up being made in relatively limited numbers. 

This might be the only bass you need! It's finished in 3-tone classic sunburst. Among the list of innovations are a heavy Elite bridge with fine tuners for each string, a deeper cutaway for easier access to the upper frets, Deluxe enclosed tuners and a slim neck profile. In addition these sport the Kubicki 9-volt preamp with concentric volume/pan & bass/treble controls and machined aluminum knobs. The bass weighs only 8 1/4 lbs and comes with the original molded USA Fender hard case. There is quite a lot of innovation here but sadly, production stopped when Fender began to focus on other things, like opening a new production facility in Mexico.
