SOLD 07/2022! I tend to buy basses that I know are great basses and not just the latest craze that will fizzle out in no time flat. These early made-in-Japan TRB models are true gems in terms of looks but more importantly, how they sound and feel. That's a three-piece ash body under the amber finish and if you know your woods, ash is probably the best tone-wood out there. This one also has an appealing grain patters. The neck is a 5 piece bolt-on maple/walnut with rosewood fretboard and 24 frets. It has 2 soapbar lo-Z pickups and a 9-volt preamp with volume, pan and 3-band tone controls. A lot of basses have this configuration but the TRB is a little more refined and players certainly notice the difference when comparing it to other basses. The 10 lb weight is well-balanced and the bass comes in a nice hardshell case.
