TRADED 05/2021! These early Made-in-USA models are becoming super-hard to find and this one is even rarer because it's a 5-string bass. This is one ultra-cool design that's more than just a lot of foo-foo thrown together. It seems EVERY detail on this instrument was carefully thought out from the get-go. The AAAA quilt maple top & back are just gorgeous and the body is a laminate of 17 layers of alder so this bass sings even before you plug it in. The graphite neck is set into the body and is a work of art in its own right, with carefully woven layers of graphite for superior rigidity & sustain. The pickups are DiMarzio Ultra Jazz bass pickups and there is a piezo bridge pickup with individual saddle elements. The 9-volt preamp has 3 volume controls, concentric bass/treble and concentric mid. Black hardware with Sperzel locking tuners. The 24 frets are super clean and the 34" scale neck measures 1 3/4" at the nut with 11/16" spacing at the saddles. All this in a bass that only weighs 7 1/2 lbs!
