SOLD 10/2021! This bass brings real respect to the term 'Made in Indonesia' and i sincerely mean that. No longer a bastion of cheapo Fenders and G&L's, the Ibanez factory is really cranking out some slammers. The bass has a bookmatched flame maple top finished in amber and a 3-piece mahogany body. The bolt-on neck is a 5-piece design featuring wenge & ovankol laminates and what appears to me as a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with 24 frets and abalone inlays. Two soapbar pickups with specially designed pole pieces give you a focus and punch that harks back to the 80's Musician series. The preamp features the usual culprits of volume, pan, bass/mid/treble along with a tone switch and one for active/passive. The gold bridge features a sustain block and individual string retainers for full adjustments including custom string spacing, This is a bass that weighs under 9 lbs and balances extremely well. There is a slight ding on the top edge as seen in the photos that is not a factor when playing. I've got a deluxe tolex Ibanez case for this one.
