SOLD 11/2022! This is one of the scarcer models offered by Framus and also one of the most appealing. It has the body design favored by Gibson & Epiphone with the double cutaway body. Like its USA counterparts, the body is double-bound with a bound neck and f-holes. There is no binding shrinkage or disintegration! This bass has held up quite well over time with some moderate player wear, finish checking and some minor discoloration of the maple top & back. Remember, maple darkens naturally over time from exposure to light as well as skin oils. Just look at an early 50's Fender Tele neck to see what I mean.
I'll go so far as to say this is the most satisfying Framus bass I have played. There are no issues such as poor neck angle, sinking top, twisted neck, bad binding or noisy pickups that are commonplace for to this brand. No, as a player myself I can give this bass a 100% endorsement for playability and stand behind it for structural integrity. The pickups are both strong and fetaure individual tone & volume controls as well as a pickup toggle switch. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the neck is super-thin but with a bit more taper near the bridge so it's not as confined as a Vox. 30 1/2" scale and 6 1/2 lb weight add to the fun. Comes in a well-padded and well-fitting gig bag.
