SOLD 10/2023! This is one of Fender's lesser-known ventures and were the last basses produced in Japan. They were only in limited production for about 2 years . It's a shame because that brought to a close one of the finest eras of Fender instruments. This is a wonderful bass and the cinnamon metallic burst finish is unlike anything Fender offered previously. The bolt-on neck is also finished to match the body and has a graphite headstock laminate for strength and sustain. It has a rosewood fretboard with 24 frets and dot inlays. It has 2 wide-aperture J pickups that are radiused and paired with a 9-volt preamp, The control are volume, volume and a variable tone control that works as a 'Q' or parametric filter with a switch that alters the tone shape. It's also got really wide string spacing so you're not going to be fumbling around on this one. Very clean overall, weighs 9 1/2 lbs and comes with a deluxr Road Runner gig bag (the heavily-padded burgundy one).
