An einen sehr froh deutschen Spieler verkauft! (SOLD 04/21)

Just got this beauty earlier this month and finally got a chance to set it up. WOW! It had been its in original shipping box for over 35 years and came to life immediately after I plugged it in. 2-piece ash body, tortoise guard, Jazz-spec neck with rosewood fretboard. 3-digit serial number and the old ink-stamped "Made in Japan" on the back of the headstock. The screw holes for the pickguard were never even threaded until I put it back together! I replaced the aging Japan pots with 1982 Fender pots from an early Reissue P-bass and also used a 1964 Fender tone capacitor for unrivaled vintage growl. Weighs 9 1/2 lbs so it's in the 'comfort range' and the tone is worth every ounce!
