TRADED 10/07/2018! A nice classic Ernie Ball Stingray in rare factory Transparent Purple finish. The finish looks almost black until the lights hit it and then *POW* the ash body just lights up with that purple finish! I've handled a lot of Ernie Ball basses and have never had this color in-hand before. The bass is in great shape except for one 3/8" chip in the finish along the top edge. If I can blend the color I'll try to have this restored soon after you read this. There's not much more I can say to embellish the history of the Stingray Bass except to say that this one is a winner in terms of looks, tone & playability. It features the 4-knob active preamp with bass/mid/treble controls and a gray pearl pickguard dresses it up a bit.The maple neck is oil finished and the frets are very clean. The bass weighs a reasonable 9 1/2 lbs and comes with the original molded hard case.
