TRADED 5/12/18! Happy Day! An old ash body L1000 that only weighs around 10 lbs. Yes, this is a now-owner beauty that in in true near-mint condition and include the original case and a few hang tags as well. Not just a good looker, this bass plays well and sounds incredible. These pre-1983 ones are getting harder to find, especially in this condition. This one has the old "Pat Pending" headstock decal, single pickup with slot-screw pole pieces and a smooth black bridge along with chrome hardware. Original nickel G&L logo tuners.

     Besides having all these early details the natural ash body is virtually blemish-free and the maple/rosewood neck has frets that look unplayed. Make no mistake, this bass is meant to be played and comes alive after about 30 minutes of playing time much like an old upright bass that has been stored for years. The electronics are original and work great, the truss rod has plenty of adjustment room even though the neck is perfectly straight. Weighs only 10 1/4 lbs and has a 1 3/4" nut width so it feels just like an early 60's P-Bass.
