SOLD 7/13/2018! This is a clean and (except for changed pots) all-original Fender P-Bass from the 'Big Headstock Decal" era. 1976 was the last year to have the big headstock logo and serial number on the back plate. The natural finish is original and has started to amber out over time. Don't worry, there is no smoky club smell or residue on this baby! It's just a nice ash-bodied example and not too heavy at 11 lbs.
There is very little player wear on this one and no belt buckle wear. The edges have only a few minor nicks. The pickups, bridge, tuners, knobs and strap buttons are original. Original gray bottom pickup. The pots must have been swapped out in the 70's because the DiMarzio pots look like they could pass as original. I don't have the covers for this one. The maple neck feels like an A-neck but the neck codes and measurements confirm it's a B-width that's 1 5/8" wide at the nut. The original frets show only minimal wear, there are no sharp edges and the truss rod works great. The original hard case is in good shape with no broken latches or damage and it is a pretty scarce version produced only in the mid 1970's. The handle has been replaced with a sturdy Ampeg amplifier handle.
