SOLD 12/2019! This is a very early one from the first production run. These lasted only about 2 years as Fender was phasing out its Japan production about the same time the bass was introduced. This one is actually quite stunning with a cinnamon burst finish and matching neck. It's definitely got a Fender feel with a wide bolt-on neck with 24-fret rosewood fretboard and Gotoh tuners. The low noise pickups are kind of like a J/Soapbar design and feature a 9-volt preamp, somewhat akin to the Jazz Bass Special of the mid to late 1980's. The controls are volume, pan and a tone filter that functions like a Q-circuit found on Alembic basses. It's in excellent shape and weighs 9 3/4 lbs. Includes a gig bag.
