Talk about a bass that's getting harder to find each day. These have always been cool basses and it's hard to beat the look of that long neck on a Les Paul body. It's a mahogany body with a rich cherry finish and a mahogany set-neck with ebony fretboard and dot inlays. It also has the pearl logo and flower pot inlay on the headstock. This model is wet up just like a Thunderbird with 34" scale and 2 T-Bird pickup with vol/vol/tone controls, The hardware is all black and the Schaller bridge and M4 tuners attest to the overall quality.

Two things are worth mentioning. The bass has been pro modified to feature and angled lower bout for maximum playing comfort. These are flat-top basses with straight sides and have always pressed on a player's forearm causing some degree of discomfort. The mod eliminates that issue! It is so well done and features an ebony insert and correct binding; you would think it was done by the USA Custom Shop. Second, the bass does show a bit of stress at the back of the headstock. It's never needed repair, is not ugly but it certainly is there and my price reflects that. I will guarantee the bass for one full year after purchase! I own a 1984 Hamer Bass with the exact same issue and it hasn't budged in over 25 years. This LP Bass is also pretty light at 9 1/2 lbs and includes a hardshell case.
