TRADED 01/2022! This is certainly the earliest (Sept, 1983) L1000 I have ever had with the New headstock design. It's got all the features of the earlier ones and is in fantastic near-mint condition! It has the pickups with the small Allen key pole pieces and the control plate, bridge and neck plate all have the black crinkle finish. The ash body is quarter sawn and bookmatched and is actually quite stunning as ash bodies go. At 9 1/2 lbs it's pretty light for a G&L and really resonant with the maple fretboard providing additional focus. The neck and body dates are very close and the pots date 8322 (22nd week of 1983). This one comes with the original case that's in very good condition.
