This bass kills and can you ask for a rarer color, with a matching headstock to boot? This is a genuine 2006 USA one, signed and dated on the neck and date-stamped on the body. It all checks out and all I'm waiting for now is my replacement COA from Fender. The heavy relic finish isn't overdone or cheesy-looking like a lot of the newer ones are. Let's face it, compare a recent one to a pre-2009 and you will immediately see and feel a huge difference. This one is worth your hard-earned dinero and will only appreciate in value.

It's a hell of a player, too! Great neck and clean frets and the pickups have an airy quality about them but not at the expense of serious R&B tone. The harmonics are dead-on and just a small tweak of either volume control elicits very subtle tone changes. Enough chit-chat! The thing weighs just 8 3/4 lbs and comes in an SKB case. In the meantime I'll dig for an old USA tweed case to complete the package (but no guarantees).
