TRADED 06/22! I was curious when I got this bass in Texas but not anymore. I got a chance to take it apart and can say it is the 'real deal', an early Road Worn bass with the P/J pickup configuration.  My main concern was that the neck was attached to a generic body but that is certainly not the case. The neck and body have a matching 'footprint' and both have correct markings and features from that period. Heck, if somebody was going to forge a Fender bass, do you think they would waste their efforts on a Made in Mexico model? I'll stand behind this bass 100%.

With that out of the way this is one killer bass. Just like all the Road Worn basses I have had to date, this one goes toe-to-toe with any USA Relics and even most Custom Shop models. "I've never met a Road Worn Fender I didn't like" quoth The Swami. The aged white finish has a fairly mild relicing which is enhanced by both factory aging and natural color fading. The neck has the wide, flat 'C' width that is to die for and all the parts are aged as well. I have the original E-tuner back on, not the Hipshot seen in the photos. The P/J setup gives the bass added versatility and who among us never added a J pickup to their old P-Bass back in "the day"? Weighs around 9 lbs and has a great gig bag but if I find a suitable hard case, I will include that instead.
