SOLD 01/2022! I almost forgot how rare these solid walnut P-Specials really are until I realized it's been 20 years since I had my last one. Of course I sold it for $650 back then... how times have changed! This one is extra clean but has been played enough that it's more than just eye candy, it plays and sounds terrific. The body is solid figured walnut with a natural finish that blends in at the edges, The neck is also solid black walnut with a rosewood fretboard. These usually weigh about 12 lbs but this one tips the baby scale at 10 1/4 lbs making it pretty comfy to play at length. The tone is provided by a special P pickup matched to a 9-volt preamp with volume and a 2-band variable tone circuit. It really does the job and is quiet as well. All the hardware is gold-plated and it's all in really fine shape with just a hint of patina. This bass comes with an early tweed Reissue case which is correct period and has been with the bass since the original owner bought it back in 1981. Signed warranty card will be included!
