SOLD 05/22! I just can't emphasize enough just how good these mid to late 1980's Japan Fender basses really are! I've got about a dozen of my own and would have another dozen more and I have a wife to answer to. This is a one-owner bass that is not outrageously clean but it comes really close. Candy red is pretty hard-to-find on these models and it looks great with the black neck and all-black hardware. Unlike the Power Jazz, this is a passive bass with P/J pickups that have large 1/4" pole pieces. It's got great tone with the growl of a 60's P and the 'bark' of a 70's Jazz Bass. I'm telling you, the Japanese really had their act together during this period! It has a perfect neck & frets and weighs just north of 8 1/4 lbs. The good news continues because this one comes with the original molded hard case with ALL the latches intact, a straight hinge and a lining that doesn't smell or stick to the finish.
