SOLD 11/2023! For a lot of players natural swamp ash Fenders with maple necks are the way to go. You just can't beat the full, round tone of swamp ash versus the more nasal character of alder. In addition, the maple neck brightens the tone just enough without becoming harsh or brittle. Analysis over! This is a great all-around bass that has seen a good degree of honest player wear. There are assorted scuffs & dings on the body but nothing onerous and the headstock has some minor chipping around the edges. But that's to be expected of a bass that's almost 50 years old now. Everything on the bass is original and it plays great with no Fender 'dip' in the neck above the 14th fret. Nice, growly tone and well-balanced output between the pickups. Weighs just 9 1/2 lbs and comes with the original brown lined tolex hard case.
