SOLD 08/2023! Samick basses are often overlooked in favor of more 'known' brands. But that's a mistake because they offer perhaps the most bang for the buck in their respective price ranges. This is just a good all-around 5 string bass with a really cool finish that looks like gold leaf embedded in a burst finish. It's got an alder body with maple bolt-on neck with 24 frets. The P/J pickups and active 9-volt preamp are matched with simple-to-use volume, pan and master tone controls. Gold-plated hardware add a real touch of class. The bass is a cosmetic factory second for some reason and I cannot find any defects or shortcomings, even after close inspection. This is a great foray into a multi-string bass, weighs just 9 3/4 lbs and comes in a very nice Schecter gig bag.
